Hello!
As if the heat wave wasn’t enough of a headache, we also had some issues migrating our Google accounts this month. I might have lost my work logs, so today’s report is drawn from memory.
That said, there has been good progress on the docs… and on the fun stuff too!
Writing content I focused exclusively on the Textbook section and completed about 25% of all planned pages. Solid progress!
:task-docs-textbook: The Textbook is the driest part of the docs, because it covers foundational material that can feel a bit abstract. But once this section is complete, I can start working on the developer tutorials, which will link back to the Textbook for reference. Tutorials without supporting theory often feel like “trust me, bro, this is how it’s done,” and I really want to avoid that.
As always, you can follow the progress on the docs preview.
Site configuration No updates needed. Everything is running smoothly.
Management Just the usual brainstorming sessions with the Captains about Kasane and Daruma.
Daruma As usual, I set aside some time to experiment with gaming and blockchain… and I think I might have gotten a bit carried away 😅 See below!
I don’t have a time distribution plot this month, because of the account issue, but roughly: 66% on writing content, 33% on Daruma.
This is the current status of all documentation tasks. The main line to watch is Symbol Documentation at the top, with all other entries listed as its subtasks. The bars in the chart represent how many of those subtasks have been completed.
As a new feature this month, the change since last month is shown in orange, making progress easier to spot at a glance.
Do you remember XYM City?
These inspirational artworks have been with us for a very, very long time. Recently, @Hatchet and I were talking about videogames and thought: how cool would it be to use XYM City as the setting for a game?
As it turns out, the artists at the Syndicate had already started mapping out the buildings in the city! The idea was just too good to ignore.
